The love of my life gave me a very special gift more than a week ago. It is a Woman Thou Art Loosed Edition Bible by TD Jakes. Inscribed on the dedication page is "Seek and ye shall find". Today I have made a decision to embark on my own personal journey...and chronicle in the form of this blog experiences, thoughts, questions, feelings and anything else that I may experience in this journey.
I thank God for blessing me with the man that He has intended for me.. I am grateful that I have someone whose main concern is that I grow in my faith and strengthen my personal relationship with God. Someone who is first and foremost a man of God. With God's guidance I know we can never go wrong. We may stumble at times but He will always be there to pick us up and lovingly guide us with His love and mercy.
Yesterday during the Sunday service we were asked by the Pastor to ask ourselves "Who I am" Who does God want me to be...Do I know who God intended me to be? We all prayed for guidance and was promised that God will indeed let me know.
Today I open my Bible and read a prayer addressed to God, for a woman who needs a Father; and I quote a part of it "Make me like clay in Your hands. Make me a woman You can easily mold into exactly the person You want me to be - pure, strong, gracious, whole, faithful, steadfast."
I now have 6 characteristics that I have to live up to...to become the woman that God intends me to be...I am surrendering myself to be God's clay..for Him to mold me and live up to the title of being a Daughter of God..
This is just the beginning of my journey..I know I have a long ways to go and I am very excited about it..I am so hungry for the Word..I intend to feed myself with It and live It for the rest of my life..until I go home to my Father in Heaven...
